It is believed that the ancestor of the grey cattle arrived in Hungary with our squatting ancestors in the 9th century. Today, these herds serve as gene banks due to their unique resistance to disease. The cold-raised grey cattle in our national parks are of exceptional quality, fed with medicinal herbs and nutritious native grasses, making their quality surpass organic standards.

Not only do they possess unique characteristics, but they also offer a variety of health benefits. Grey cattle have a medium fat content and a high protein content, making them a great source of omega-3 and -6, fatty acids as well as zinc.
